We learned about the different stages in the water cycle and then we used Scratch Jr. to draw and program our characters to show what we know about the water cycle.
The students in Mrs. Vickers' class have been studying the buttlerfly life cycle and they were learning to animate using Animation-ish so they put both together and made animations of the life cycle. Here's a picture them them at work.
Mrs. Okada's 2nd graders have been learning to create animations. When tasked to create twinkling stars in a night sky this is what they created using their graphics tablets and Animation-ish. We hope you enjoy their animations.

During PLC classes this year we learned to use Scratch Jr. One of the things that we did with Scratch Jr. was to create animations of the water cycle. We created our own backgrounds and our own "characters" and then we programmed our story of the water cycle making sure we had a title slide, a slide that showed Evaporation, a slide that showed Condensation and a slide that showed Precipitation. Take a look at the slideshow below to see us working and then scroll down to see a couple final movies of the water cycle.
