For fun we finished with Draw a Stickman.
We began our work today by sharing ish by Peter Reynolds. Then we began looking at how to make a flip-book https://vimeo.com/74589760. Using animation-ish we explored Flip-book-ish and made our own simple animations.
For fun we finished with Draw a Stickman. We began working at code.org today and practiced Pair Programming with Course #1. We've started working with Angry Birds and we wonder what the TNT does. Today we learned 10 principles to use when taking pictures with a digital camera. Then we practiced taking pictures of partners and finally we went outside and started taking pictures of our campus plants. We will be photographing the following plants:
We learned to use Animation-ish as we created simple open and closed circuits. In our animations we showed a power source (battery), a load (light bulb) and a conductor (wires) as well as the electron flow from negative to positive.

m-angelo-coral from Debi Tisdell on Vimeo. When you have finished drawing/painting your image in KidPix you'll need to export it to get it in a format that you can use with other applications.
Step 1: Move your cursor to the top of the screen and click when it turns into a little triangle. File > Export Step 2: Name your image with the first letter of your teacher's last name and then a dash and then your first name. Make sure you've chosen Desktop as your location. Make sure you're exporting it as a JPEG file. Press Export. Step 3: Check the Desktop to make sure your image shows up. Here's a tutorial showing how to use Google Slides to create a simple slide show. https://vimeo.com/111565786
What we liked:
-When we were doing the angry birds with north, south, east and west -I liked that you get to make your own character at the end of some of the puzzles -We work together to finish it. -I like that all the programs are fun. -I liked that we got to cooperate with each other -I liked it when me and my partner switched up with our game. What was challenging: -Trying to figure out the puzzles - we used our brains. -It was hard if we skipped the video. - After we skipped the video we didn't know how to do it, so after that we pressed the video to see what to do. We learned that we needed to watch the whole video. -The challenging part was that in the spelling you have a repeat thing. - I just put it inside the square the west and clicked on start it kept repeating itself. -My partner and me when we were going to go left and right and forward - how we figured it out is we reset it and did it again. What do we like about pair programming?
-We take turns. -It's fun. -I like when we went on Angry Birds because we took turns. -I like it because we work together. -I like when we play with each other. What is challenging? -The angry birds were hard to figure out which way to go. We looked at how many ways the bird needed to go. -Strategy of the Angry Birds game was challenging. We looked at our jumps and we used a lot of brain power to figure it out. -It was challenging because it was confusing because you don't know how many jumps. We tried and retried and kept doing it. We didn't give up. -First it was easy but then when the level keeps going it gets harder. We discussed what's important in the Computer Lab. Then we learned how to use our laptops and log into our accounts.
